We still have a lot of the winter season ahead of us, but that doesn't mean you should stay cooped up inside your home until the temperatures get warmer. In fact, there are plenty of winter activities you can enjoy near our Centennial, Colorado, apartments.
Here are a few of our favorites.
See a hockey game
You don't have to be a fan of the game to enjoy the atmosphere. The Colorado Avalanche are a force in Denver, and they're a great source of entertainment during the winter months. Pack a set of gloves and head to the Pepsi Center when our hometown team is hosting its rivals.
Check out a basketball game
Speaking of sports, the Denver Nuggets always put on a great show. This is a great chance to get out of the house and enjoy a little fun competition within the warm walls of the arena.
Soak in a hot spring
Colorado has tons of hot springs all over the state. If you have two or three days to burn, plan a trip to the High Country, where you can soak in hot springs and relax in water that'll relax your mind and body while the snow falls all around you.
Head to the hills
The Rocky Mountains are just a short drive up I-70 from our apartment community. There, you can learn to ski, go snow tubing, or ride horses across the beautiful white landscape. Don't let the mountains intimidate you if you've never been an outdoorsy person. There are dozens of things you can do at higher elevations, and people will happily help you figure out how to enjoy your sweet spots.
Lace up your skates
Head to downtown Denver to go ice skating at Skyline Park. This family-friendly venue is open to everyone, even if you're not great on your skates. After you've done a few laps, warm up with a coffee or a toasty hot toddy at one of the nearby restaurants.
Whether you want to bundle up and stay in a comfortable place away from the cold or you're looking for an apartment that puts you within driving distance of the mountains, we're here to help! Reach out to The Apartments at Greenwood Plaza for your personal tour of our community!
