Autumn Decorating Ideas

Fall DecorFor many people, autumn is the perfect time of the year. The mornings and evenings are crisp while the days are warm. And, of course, in Colorado, the leaves put on quite a beautiful color-changing show. If you are one of those people who absolutely loves fall, you'll definitely want to add a touch of autumn to your apartment's decor. Here are four simple, inexpensive ways to add the glory of fall to your living spaces.

Create Pumpkin Flower Pots

Planting live flowers in a pumpkin? It's definitely an interesting way to bring fall into your home. To create this look, start by cleaning out the seeds and pulp from a large pumpkin. Next, line the interior of the pumpkin with a plastic bag and then fill it about three-fourths of the way full with a good potting soil. Next, add some fall flowers, such as mums or pansies.

Add Scent

This is the time of the year where apple, gingerbread, and pumpkin candles are plentiful, so make sure to snap up a few to add the warm and embracing scent of fall to your rooms.

Add a Sparkly Pumpkin

For this craft, you'll need a large white pumpkin, some autumn leaves, glue, and glitter. Start by dipping a leaf in glue; then, press it against the pumpkin. Remove the leaf and then quickly sprinkle the sticky area on the pumpkin with the glitter. Repeat this process several times over the pumpkin.

Quick and Simple Fall Centerpiece

Purchase a few small pumpkins, including several white ones, as well as some colorful squashes. Place them artfully on an entryway or dining room table. Mix in a few potted mums. You can set your items directly on a table or find a rustic basket to place them in.

Of course, you won't want to spend all of your time indoors on a beautiful fall day. That's why our apartments in Centennial, Colorado, offer our community members a number of fun ways to enjoy the great outdoors. For example, we have a heated outdoor pool and a grilling area. We are also pet-friendly, so if you would like to have a four-legged friend to explore the area with, you can. Stop by our office or give us a call to learn more about our apartment community!
